portfolio & design blog of logo & identity designer, Graham Smith
Came across this great site this week, the title is pretty descriptive in this case, so kinda doesnt leave much to the imagination. One hell of a collection of logos, brand and identity marks.
But in any case, felt it was worth referencing in a post on IJC as this is the sort of thing that fascinates and interests me. After all, it’s what I do.
Straight from the horses mouth
Welcome to the Identity Archives Project – a keyword-searchable database of logos and brand identity designs from around the world.
There’s no need to register, and use of the database is free and open to designers, brand managers, marketing professionals, educators, students, brand identity design enthusiasts, and the general public.
The Identity Archives Project is young and growing. Help us spread the word so that this database can become as complete and useful as possible for the benefit of the brand identity design community.
I highly recomend taking a good look at this site if you are interested in any way about logos and brand identity design. A superb tool to research existing marks if you a planning a new logo design etc, or intgrigued about the subject as a whole.
The Identity Archives Project is a community driven project, so does heavily rely on user submissions, so I do recommend taking a look and participating if you can. You can submit your own company and agency logo much like what I am doing with my own series of posts : Logo Design Roundup Part 3 – Over 50 Ways Designers Promote & Brand Themselves
