Some more tinkering with TypePad Blog Design & CSS…
Some aesthetic changes today.
Noticeably the main banner graphic and colour scheme… felt a little more life was needed.
Other changes include; from a left aligned page with fluid width, to a fixed centered look. More in line with the ‘Blog’ style. It just works…
Also, some nice CSS alterations to the Typepad Blog. Gradient blends on
the outside, from a dark grey to a lighter grey. Think it works well,
subtle but noticeable. It’s a simple enough change to the CSS
stylesheet, so if you want to add it to your Blog then drop me a line
and I will add the details.
My Current Wish List:
I would love to be able to add a soft feathured drop shadow to the
outer container but this looks like a more challenging challenge. I am
looking into it.Also, I am nearly ready to convert to Advanced Templates as there is
only so far you can go with CSS. The changes I want are a lot more
heavy duty… My goal is to move to the Movable Type platform and
tackle the back end aspect of Blog design enabling for a more personal
and customised look, something that is important to me as a Designer,
but a designer with little HTML and CSS background, let alone Database
programming.Asthetics are important to me… so learning CSS and the guts of web
design is quite a challenge, but an enjoyable one. Very rewarding to
see the results.

Looking good.
Why thank you very much… means a lot to me.
Still tinkering, the more I am learning the more I tinker and the more possibilities I see spreading out before me.
