Not one for usually checking my Feedburner stats I was shocked to see that mine had risen by roughly 200 since Colorburned churned out the 127 Feeds that all Designers Should Subscribe to list post.
A quick follow-up with other designers on Twitter confirmed that pretty much everyone on that list had a similar rise in subscribers. No doubt some cynics convinced that it was FeedBurner up to it’s usual tricks.
Proof that a good useful list can make a huge difference, and these increases are certainly set to rise and rise and rise. It was a similar story with Vandely Design, when he did one of the first Designer Twitter Follow lists, everyone of that list, myself included received unprecedented rises in followers. And it is still going strong and is the foundation for many subsequent Twitter lists, my Uber List included.
So after a quick Tweet with @Colorburned we agreed to further the reach of the 127 Feeds that all Designers Should Subscribe to . So here we are, a trackback linkback to the original post, actually the first post under my new site design. We all benefit from the viral like qualities of these posts, especially lists like this that focus on the holy grail, RSS Feed Stats. It gives us a certain morale boost and a buzz when we see out sub stats rise.
So thanks to ColorBurned for a great idea and for almost single handidly increasing all our Feedburner subscriptions.
