My grief, His release…
I am broken-hearted…
I could never of imagined this intensity of pain and grief…
to have someone you love so very much die as you hold them,
to see and feel them take their last breath…
so utterly heartbreaking.

Feel the feelings, Graham. Allow yourself to feel every feeling thoroughly until there is no more. Someday, there will be no more intense feelings and you’ll be stronger for feeling them. I think I mentioned before that feelings aren’t right nor wrong. They just are. Feelings are a part of who we are as humans. Don’t be afraid of them. It’s ok to be a whole human being and feeling these feelings is a part of the deal.
Grief has no boundaries nor a time frame. You’ll be feeling this way for awhile so don’t place a time frame on it. When its time to let go, you’ll surrender and accept what you need to take from this experience.
I’m no stranger to death’s face. I’m the last Mohiccan in my family. I’ve met Death so many times that its like we’re old friends now.
Be sure and take good care of yourself while you’re going through this time, fella. It’s very important although you’ll not want to do it due to carrying your grief. You’ll need to keep up your strength in order to carry this load.
