Drevland Consulting Logo Design
These are my Freelance Logo Design Snapshots, just an initial glimpse of ongoing and completed logo and brand identity projects from my portfolio.
An in-depth logo design process post will follow sometime in the future.
Drevland Logomark
There are a few minor tweaks to be made, but for the most part, this logo design is complete. Some tweaks to the logomark, I may straighten up the top of the ‘c’, so it runs all away along, rather than dipping down before the ‘d’.
Typography
If you are curious to know what the typeface is, it’s Sorts Mill Goudy, a very nice Open Source font, which you can download for free from this Font Library. I have modified it ever so slightly, reduced the ascenders to create a more compact look.

Ooh, I like this one! Is it still in progress? The simplicity is nice, the logomark is strong on its own. I look forward to reading about the process and concept. Meanwhile, you continue to rock :-)
Hi. I forgot to add it’s still in the last stages of tweaking, but for the most part, it is complete.

And look back in a few days RE letter spacing. Just need to sit with it for a bit before tackling finer details.
Thanks for the thumbs up :)

Wow – really nice job. This company should be proud – it’s quite distinctive!

Wow good job Graham.
I like the classy font choice.

I like the feel of it; the bold symbol makes a nice contrast to the serif type. I notice that the straight line at the top of the d’s belly seems to run a little higher than the top of the circle in the c. A well known problem – optically matching the height of horizontal lines with curves. Like you said, this belongs in the realm of tweaking.
Really nice. The word Consulting looks smaller than the word Drevland, although I’m sure it’s not. Great piece of work; clean, simple, unfussy – right up my street.

Neat, though I cant help but see suggestive symbols within the emblem:
Two circles with a line in between (we all know that one)
The bottom of the d and c shape ‘butt’ up next to eachother…
I mean, it’s nice and all, but minds like mine tend to see a bit more than was intended. Not poking fun at all, I just know that if it’s there to be seen, someone out there will see it, and chuckle childishly.
