Logo & Brand Information
Please answer all as completely and as descriptively as possible. This is not the time to rush or skip the filling in for a form. The idea with all this is for me to be able to get a good idea of what you do, and I can only do that with information.
Logo Wording *
Please detail exact wording for logo. For me its 'imjustcreative', for Coke its 'Coca-Cola' etc.
Tag Line (Optional)
If you have an existing tag line, which needs to form part of the logo, then please enter this here. If you don't have a tag line then I would recommend that we work on creating one for you. A good tag line can often form the platform for the visual direction of the logo.
What Are You, Your Business, All About? *
Please describe what you are all about. This is where I need you to be descriptive and detailed as possible. This is when you need to sell what you do so I can understand, to the best of my abilities, what I am designing a logo and/or brand identity for.
Elevator Pitch *
This is a refined and optimised version of above. Think along the lines of the Elevator Pitch: you have just a minute, or two, to enthusiastically explain, and describe, what you do before I exit the elevator.
Positioning Statement/USP (Optional)
Positioning determines what place a brand (tangible good or service) should occupy in the consumer's mind compared to the competition. A position is often described as the meaningful difference between the brand and its competitors. Or more simply put, what's the 'Unique Selling Point' that trumps your competitors?
Number Of Staff *
Just being nosey…
Keywords & Descriptive Phrases *
List any words, keywords or phrases that best sum up the overall emotion, mood and impression you need the logo/brand to convey. What would be the ideal range of feelings and emotions you would like potential clients, customers, general public to feel when they view or think about your brand? This is all about creating the appropriate perception in your target market.
Target Audience *
Please list, or describe, the type of people that need to be influenced by the logo when they see it. This is very important as it's all about ensuring your message is conveyed to the right audience.
Direct Competition *
Please list any local, regional and/or worldwide competitors. We absolutely need to know how your competitors brand and position themselves before we can create a visual identity for you. Please provide me with URL's of websites andnames of companies that you compete with, or have a similar agenda to.
Indirect Competition (Optional)
This is about being prepared. There may be companies that you don't compete with directly, but do choose, or have to, take notice of what they are up to. They may not be competing yet, but you might feel that one day soon they could be sitting on your doorstep.
Premises Of Business *
Are you home based, or work in offices? If you have multiple offices and/or locations then please also specify.
Specific Perceptions? (Optional)
If you have a specific, and quite niche/specialised target market, then please detail more here.
Technical & Practical Details
Super important that I know exactly what you are requiring from me so there are not misunderstandings. Some aspects of brand identity work I am unable to, so we need to ensure that your expectations are fully met.
Logo Style *
Check all that apply.
Additional Style Requirements? (Optional)
You may be looking to use various print finishes on your logo when printed on stationery, letterheads, business cards, etc. Examples could include: embossing, Spot UV, Blind Emboss, Letterpress. It's useful for me to know if you have considered these before I start designing the logo. Please let me know what you have considered in this regard.
Where Will The Logo Be Used? *
I need to know where you plan to use the logo as this determines how flexible and adaptable the design needs to be.
If you have any particular ideas, or thoughts about the logo then please use this section to help communicate these with me. None of these fields are required.
What Logo Designs Inspire You?
In the absence of a client meeting, this helps me get into your 'mind'. See what wavelength you are on, and also if the wavelength you are on is indeed suitable. Please provide URL's of any logos you like. I also have my own Logo Design Gallery called Logo Stack: http://imjustcreative.com/logostack
Are you looking to avoid or implement certain colours? Please list colours that you feel would have a positive or negative impact.
Are there any images/symbols/icons you like, images you feel sum up who you are, what you do? You may have a crest, some personal symbol you would like to include. You may just have some random thoughts you would like to share about where the logo design 'could' travel.
