Bipolar, Depression and Creativity
Just a little ‘about’ post, that was actually just taken and amended from my ‘about page‘.
Perfectionist, gung-ho, rounded, articulate and visually expressive individual. I don’t shut cupboard doors after me, neither do I fake sincerity. I am literally… what you see is what you get. What I say is what I mean.
Im a creative sensitive soul with a mean creative spark, but an even leaner moody mysterious side.
Im actually just scared or overwhelmed and go quiet. But often taken to be moody. But a big heart, that sometimes just can’t express how it feels to the people closest to me.
Knowing that you are likely to be one of a few hundred thousand blogging about similar things brings an overriding sense of overwhelming panic.
My previous Blog, grahamsblog.com become quite popular due to my stance on Bipolar and Depression. Since my father passed away late last year I somewhat lost my foot under the mud and became a bit of a mess.
The Blog was left to fester and rot.
Now, I am more enthused and considerably more ‘pro life’, so I decided to change my focus a bit. Although, yes, I have Bipolar, and seem to spend most of my life in a total funk, I would argue more Severe depress than Bipolar, i created ‘ImJustCreative’ as a means to really explore the creative side that I was born with, as well at the semi-permanent moody side.
Since my breakdown two years ago and subsequent diagnosis of Bipolar, it has been one tough journey.
GrahamsBlog documents the extreme unhappiness and pressure I was under with alternating medication trials.
ImJustCreative will take over the lead. I will still be talking about Depression and Bipolar as I do have lots to usefully add that can or could help others. But also, creativity in the mind and outside of.
Photographs, art, graphic design, writing and utterly made up over Blog and Web Design. There will be lots of posts on Web and Blog design and marketing, SEO and much more.
As well as being a Designer by trade, I have also studied Marketing and Advertising, so now putting these to good use. So hope that other people can make use of my knowledge.
Thanks ever so for stopping by, I feel that this time round I have a good positive healthy balance.
Graham
