Join the Plurk frenzy with these Chicklets

Plurk Chicklet logoPLurk Chicklet logo

Plurk has really taken a lot of people by the neck in recent weeks. Even the last few days has seen a massive herd of folks signing up and giving it a go, with lots of positive interest and feedback. I for one am finding it quite fun but have been unsure how to really spread the time between Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce yada yada. Plurk for me has caused me to take it to heart more than the others, not really sure why as both Jaiku and Pownce are incredibly good services, just not had the support they deserve with all the spotlights on Twitter.

Plurk has certainly come about at the right time if it’s to take advantage of the mass of users getting slightly irritated with Twitters various issues. Now is a interesting time to see what Plurk has over and Twitter and to see how well it deals with the load. Can it steal or share enough Twitter folk for other developers to give it their support? I hope so.

Already Ping.fm has included Plurk it in its ever growing services, as has Profilactic. Which is great as now you can Plurk and Tweet from one central source and get your comments incorporated in your Profilactic lifestreams. You can see my Lifestream here at Profilactic or at FriendFeed, even a summary LifeStream here on my site. All Plurk needs now is to release API support so the likes of Twhirl can incorporate the comments as they do with Twitter etc.

Obviously, Plurk has some unique site only novelties like the Karma etc. Which may not work with commenting from the likes of Ping.fm. Also, the fact that you get the choice of coloured pre-set labels with Plurk that again, make it stand out from the others.

So in keeping with my tradition of creating some of these chicklets, badges and logos etc for various social services, here are two chicklets for Plurk, based on the same typeface and colours.

Since the chaps at Profilactic started using the one I did for them Powered by Profilactic badge that was previously knocked up, I have been enthused to do further Web applications and social networks.

So feel free to use and abuse this logo, small request at bottom of this post.

Smashing.

Ofcourse you are free to use these however you wish. It would be appreciated though if you could find somehow to link to this page or at least my site. Nothing obtrusive, just maybe a link in your Blogroll or something. That would be nice.
