ImJustCreative Logo Redesign Ideas – Round 1
To cut a stupidly long story short, I am redesigning ImJustCreative’s logo. The above ideas are an option for the identity to be similar to work with my new company Brand72 – Type Focused Logo & Brand Identity Design, leaving ImJustCreative to be my online creative play den for everything else design, from the blog, to links, to Twitter, social media, photography and anything else freelance that doesn’t fall under the Logo/Brand umbrella.
So these ideas you see in this post are just that, ideas, thoughts and concepts.
Over last few days I have been playing with a few ideas for ImJustCreative, some of which are on Flickr and FaceBook. You can read the reasons behind me ideas and reasons there.
Brand72
A few weeks back I was also playing with some ideas for identity and logo design of Brand72, but was unsure about creating a totally unique identity, far different to ImJustCreative.
By the way, the ‘72′ is the year of my birth and is in general a very cool year.
Best ideas come whilst in nature
This morning whilst out walking the dog and sipping on my mocha in the glorious sun, I thought about combining one overall design for both ImJustCreative and Brand72, although different companies, both are run by me and both are creative freelancing companies, and can and will complement each other. So rather than create unique seperate identities, I have this this above idea, to create a cross the board feel, but with distuingusing characteristice, namely the colour of the circles and tag lines.
The odd thing – Concept to Reality
The only thing I am a little unsure of is theĀ originalĀ use of this logo style. It is one of my previous concept ideas for a company called TenTwenty that never saw the light of day, seen below.
Recently I have been promoting it as it uses Helvetica and fits nicely with my LoveHelvetica project. But moreover, I just love the look and feel of the logo, and seems to suit my purposes perfectly. Obviously based on the New York sub way signage.
So having tweaked it to align with ImJustCreative and Brand72, I am really liking the direction. Helps create uniformatity across my brands, but with subtle difference, not to mention the brand name being totally different, and ofcourse the tag lines.
Simplicity
I love the simplicity of it, and the sparing use of a colour highligh to highlight the differences. It also seems a shame to waste a concept idea that was liked by many people and by myself. Destined to live out it’s live as a ‘almost has been’. When it could be used for the very reasons it was designed for and intended.
Do you have any thoughts on this? The use of a concept idea for a new redesign project? Would you do it?

I really like the last Brand72 idea. When i first looked at it i thought “Oooh thats nice!”
Thats my input :)
If you’re tying them all together, I would suggest having 4 circles in all of them even if they’re blank so 1020 would have the most numbers and be higher in priority. Just a thought.
