FriendFeed logo

This is an existing post, that has been updated.

It started at the beginning

FriendFeed. I was there almost at the beginning, but as with most other new social media platforms, interest sort of faded.  For some reason, I never fully embraced it. Numerous times I flocked back to give it another crack, determined to not feel left out of all the fuss, hype and publicity. Here is a self-submitted list for your pleasure.

The truth was, Twitter was my focus, a huge focus. Commiting time to something that seemed even more powerful and ultimately more flexible median, I could never quite make it stick. Of course, as always the case, if you don’t embrace these things fully, they can become very overwhelming once you do choose to give it another crack.

Now, FriendFeed has won my heart and  it is a close second to Twitter.

Don’t rely on Twitter, expand your Social Networking horizons.

Switching out of Neutral

So earlier this year, after seeing a considerate shout out from zee (@zee) I decided to make a commitment to FriendFeed. By the way, Zee is one person you ought to consider following, he has helped me considerably.

I think one of the reasons I kept walking away from FriendFeed was what seemed a lack of people that I could relate to, or at least people that I was familiar with on Twitter. Seemed to be a big gap in like minded creatives etc. Most of whom seemed, like me, to use Twitter more than any other social networking tool.

So the plan is to encourage other die hard Twitter folk to consider using FriendFeed along side Twitter. I can honestly say, within only one afternoon of spending serious time on FriendFeed, I could immediately see the attraction, the benefits and the sheer flexibility of harnessing FriendFeed for personal and professional use.

I can see more and more people now adopting FriendFeed along with Twitter, which is great.

The FriendFeed list

Firstly, don’t forget to subsribe to my FriendFeed as well. Graciass.

If you are creative in any shape or form, not just a graphic designer, but if you are a creative soul, regardless of your profession, if you are a coder, programmer, interior designer, musically inclined, actress or actor, if you are socially creative (social media and networking), if you have just one ounce of creativity in your soul, then sign up to FriendFeed, give it a whirl and add your details in the comments below.

There is also a huge Twitter Follow list that so far has over 500 submitted names.

Follow my lead in the comments to keep things consistent.
