Effexor ‘Venlafaxine’ Withdrawal Update

Sick. Sick and sick. My guts are turning over. So nauseas.

The very thought or smell of food right now just makes me want to gag.

I managed a bowl of cereal yesterday evening and that was it all day. Just drank lots of water, but nothing else.

Medications

Still at my previous dose of 75mg of Venlafaxine in the mornings and 37.5mg in the evenings. Compared to 300mg a month or so ago.

I have also stopped my Zispin ‘Mirtasapine’, so from 30mg at night I stopped to nothing a week ago. I had good reason to stop this.

Still take Lamotrogine "Mood Stabliser’, but am down from 300mg two months ago to 100mg.

An improvement

Aside from the total gut and stomach issues…

I am pleased to say that the last few days have seen a slow and definate return of some ’spark’ from my previous life. I am talking more, engaging more with Anna. Can’t shut me up at times. This may seem a small thing but it’s HUGE. I could easily go days without saying a word to her apart from a moan or a grummpy huff for effect. No desire to communicate at all.

still have Brain shivers, still suffering with cramps and general morning sluggishness (hence coming off Mirtazapine).

But with this is a return of insomnia. I counter this with half a tab of sleeping pill every other night.

As above, I am holding onto this return of former self, some personality seeping through… So just need to hold in there. Not easy when feeling so much like wanting to vomit all the time.

I can see how people loose weight on a Withdrawal, seems all to easy if this is why.
