Feel particularly chuffed this evening after seeing the above video. At the time of designing the logo for Feedly I had no idea that it may eventually be animated so seeing it unfold at the beginning of this video has left me with quite a smile on my face.

If someone had asked me how it I would have liked to have seen it animated, and if I was able to imagine it being animated, then this exact video sequence would have been how I would have liked it to have panned out.

It is brief but the smooth laying down of the white strips on the green is just perfect in my mind, and really fits in with the initial concept and design process of this part of the logo.

I am so proud to be part of the whole Feedly experience and seeing my first ever logo animated in this way has really been a wonderful experience.

Steve Jobs makes perfect sense talking about Apple and branding. On the tail of Apple’s struggle to go mainstream this is around the time the ‘Think Different’ campaign was initiated, with a glimpse of the first advert.

I wonder if he knew then the path he would ultimately take Apple and ‘us’.

The London Google team showing us exactly what they do at work, creating a stunning photomosaic of the Google logo, based on the new Google logo design, launched around the 6th May. Made out of 884 individually printed 4×6 photographs of people, places and things around the U.K.

“a time-lapse video of the construction process, which started in the evening and went late into the night. (The later it got, the hazier we felt — not because of the hour, but because of all of the fumes from the rubber cement!) The camera took a shot every seven seconds, so about 5.5 hours of work are compressed to a bit over a minute here. The video is best seen in full screen HD so you can see the individual photos as they go up.”

Came across this cute Letterpress documentary video via Google whilst searching for ‘all things’ letterpress for a client of mine. We are looking at letterpress or embossing for her logo design, although I can’t rightly decide what will be the best route.

Feel free to leave outlandish remarks, totally unhelpful crititisms and if you feel charitable, maybe even the odd ‘nice vid’. I decided to make the Twitter landing page a post just for this reason, so people could leave comments should they/you want to.

I like to consider myself a valuable and fun person to have in you’re stream. I post a lot of links on typography, logo design, identity and branding. As well as whatever is hot that day and worthwhile general news.

Im pretty ‘raw’, in that I am myself and tend to say what I’m thinking, and tend to use various profanities in context to what I am talking about. I like to debate and argue topics. I am very pro-active on Twitter.

I don’t immediately follow back all that follow me. It is logical that there will be people that follow me that I personally will not share any interests in, in these cases I tend to not follow back. I like to have meaningful associations with people on Twitter, and that means with people that I can relate to in one way or another. So please do not be offended if I don’t follow you back immediately. If you take part in conversations, help RT messages, then I will definately follow you back. I make a point of adding new followers each day, but I do it on my own terms and don’t feel it’s right to HAVE to follow back ‘just because’.
