Based on my previous poster design ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, here is another. This time round, basing it on one of my favourite sci-fi shows, Stargate. I have focused on the lead character played by Joe Flanigan, alias ‘Lt. Colonel John Sheppard’. Choosing one of my favourite quotes, ‘I hate those things.’

A self initiated poster design based on an actual illustration of Hannibal Lectar that I drew some years ago. The drawing was done in pencil and charcoal only. It’s sat in my archives for years, so felt I could add some more life to it by creating a movie poster from it.

This is the first part of an ongoing logo design series. Showcasing a collection of logos and brand marks, self submitted by a bunch of freelance designers and creative folk in many creative areas. These logo designs are not random. They are the designs created by the designers themselves. These are the logos each designer here feels is their best design, for any number of reasons.

Pinched this story from Font72, as I feel it warrants being mentioned and commented on. Putting aside the beautiful artwork on the Lettercase website, I am intrigued by this idea of sharing, collaborating and finding fonts with your ‘special’ friends and work colleagues.

League Gothic is a revival of an old classic, Alternate Gothic No.1. It was originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton for the American Type Founders Company (ATF) in 1903. The company went bankrupt in 1993. And since the original typeface was created before 1923, the typeface is in the public domain. You can download it for free here.

This is the 2nd vector font from Gustuv that I have available here for download on IJC. The first one being Teodoria. The download of Vilhelmia (Behance Link) comes as a Illustrator file, fully editable as you see fit. It will provide a solid framework for your own remix or use as is.

A clean and minimal helvetica typographic based poster design, free for you to download. I have never understood the phrase “less is more.” How can ‘more’ really be ‘less’. Frankly, it’s a stupid saying. So, this poster put’s things right, at least in my crazy crazy world. And if you want to really debate it, meet me down the pub for a beer.
