League Gothic is a revival of an old classic, Alternate Gothic No.1. It was originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton for the American Type Founders Company (ATF) in 1903. The company went bankrupt in 1993. And since the original typeface was created before 1923, the typeface is in the public domain. You can download it for free here.

This is the 2nd vector font from Gustuv that I have available here for download on IJC. The first one being Teodoria. The download of Vilhelmia (Behance Link) comes as a Illustrator file, fully editable as you see fit. It will provide a solid framework for your own remix or use as is.

A ‘revival’ of Goudy Oldstyle and Italic font, with features among which are small capitals (in the roman only), oldstyle and lining figures, superscripts and subscripts, fractions, ligatures, class-based kerning, case-sensitive forms, capital spacing. There is support for many languages that use latin script.

One of those design ideas that I really wish I had thought of. Not exactly jaw breaking typographic design, but the cute idea of A typography ass holes is pretty neat. Can you tell which A-ss hole is what?

M+ Outline TypeFace from MPlus Fonts, is an astonishing free typographic collection of 42 weights and styles of sans-serif gorgeousness. Thanks to 1stWebDesigner for the initial heads-up for this font.

Dagny Font is a free individual weight from the FF Dagny OT type family. This is Dagny OT Thin and is just a beautiful Grotesk font. Rival to Helvetica Neue Ultra Light in style and feeling. FILE font is a cool free font applicable for any type of graphic design – web, print, motion graphics etc and perfect for t-shirts and other items like logos, pictograms. You can download it via the link below.

Calluna Regular by Exljbris is a first attempt to make a (serious) text serif typeface and it is the fruit of 1.5 years of work. You can download it for free below.

Clipper Font by Dominic Le-hair is one super fat font and thus has been added to the ImJustCreative free and opensource font library for your viewing and downloading pleasure. Ideal for display designs, and the foundation for logotypes, initials etc.

Although Miso is not a new font on the scene, it has recently become a firm favorite of mine. Although I added it to www.font72.com a while back, felt it was worth adding to my free and open source font library here on IJC as well.

Three new font styles added to the ImJustCreative free and opensource font library. This time a triple helping from Gustav Jerlardtz. I originally saw his new font, Teodoria, on his Behance profile several months back. I emailed him asking if would consider making it available for a free download, and here we are.

IlliadSans Font made by Fábio Duart Martins – www.loligovulgaris.com. IlliadSans Font is far from complete, but does have a full compliment of lowercase characters in all 3 weights: Extra Light, Book and Black. Available as a Beta font for download here on ImJustCreative.

Zag regular and bold are free custom sans fonts which are applicable for any type of graphic and logo design – web, print, motion graphics etc and perfect for t-shirts and other items. These are OpenType format. There are 7 styles in the family, two of which are free to download. The remaining 5 can be purchased from MyFonts.

Blackout font is a new release, as it popped into my inbox this morning, so grab it whilst it is still fresh and start playing with it. If you have not visited The League of Movable Type yet, then I would take a minute or two to check it out and sign up to their RSS feed. It’s a class site, and they are encouraging people to design and make available class fonts for the Open Source community.

This free font came hurtling down my broadband connection courtesy of TypeNue. MOO! is a free font, a ultra-fat, electro-style, geometric typeface. It was designed focusing on logotypes, titles and display letterforms, with cut-out diacritics. Download here.
