Every week or so, in a new compendium post, I will summarise the most interesting links that I have Tweeted, Posterised and Tumbled in that last week. Topics could include everything from logo design typography, humor, photographs, inspirational blogs and websites etc.

If you have not seen the first installment of this hilariously funny animation, then head to Designer vs Client first, then come back to watch this, the sequel.

Since the Twitter, FaceBook and FriendFeed Follow lists, I have been focusing on several other Micro-Blogging platforms. The main one namely being Identi.ca. I signed up to this sometime back, and felt it had potential but was missing some basic functionality. That aside, it had a very loyal user base which is continuing to grow at speed and more importantly, Identi.ca itself is rapidly progressing in functionality.

If you have been following me over the last few months then you know that I have started using FaceBook more and more. I resisted the urge, the peer pressure for so long, but finally succumbing. Far from being the spammy, junky, crappy application web application I thought it was, it is proving to be a positive tool for global domination.

Last night, being the 2nd June 2079. Eh? Well, last night, I casually tweeted that you can claim your Twitter account with Technorati. Exactly the same process and advantages of doing so with regular blogs. Twitter is after all, just a mini blog and still uses the same principles, including RSS.

So this is where Posterous came in. It’s no big secret that I love Posterous, it’s such a awesomely simply tool to get posts and photos up in no time at all. I post most days from my iPhone to my personal Posterous blog, ImJustGraham. Mostly photos of Dylan granted, but it’s a lovely way to stay connected and also it creates a wonderful history trail.

One of the most compelling flash demo’s I have seen. There is no one I know who has a bad word to say about this. It’s simple, its funny, its musical and it’s quite addictive. Four horses singing in harmony… Wonderful.

I was so intrigued about the definition of ‘professional’. So it seemed a great thing to ask the Twitter community. Through my travels I found much disparity between meanings and explanations of what makes a designer a professional designer. A lot of people people can agree on certain points, but then add their own unique thoughts into the mix, some of which can contradict other peoples ideas.

An idea for a novel post came about during this observing of some 125×125′s. How about having a post where people can submit one style of their own 125x125px block love banner’s in one central place. Namely, here. Then people can browse the post and take whatever 125x125px block that takes their fancy for some link love. *You can deal with the whole No-Follow or Follow small print.

Then the overwhelming sense of failure when your Tweet has all but gone unnoticed. But yet you still keep refreshing, just hoping for some small sign of recognition. Endless Refresh’s, then the API Limit Exceeded Warning, you have been cut off temporarily because your desperate need for involvement and sense of belonging and self validation has been brutally squashed.

To get the ball rolling, I’m asking for you to submit to me any posts that you have written about Twitter, to do with Twitter or just slightly referring Twitter. Designs, twitter backgrounds, logos, photos, thoughts, diary entries, opinions, reviews, plug-ins you have coded, applications you have made, anything really. We want the world to know about it.

It’s easy to think that once you have said it once, then it’s not something you should repeat, ever for fear of alienating the readers who caught it the first time. That finely crafted article on ‘white space’ can only be posted once? I think not.

f you have been following me over the last few months then you know that I am a regular on SocialMedian, it’s a pretty cool place to find new news, and there is a positive community vibe to it that makes it seem very ‘down to earth’ without being overlay Elitist or specialist.

Each of the fourteen carefully crafted chapters guide the reader through different aspects of design; from layout to colour and contrasts. The book goes on to looking into typefaces including different type and placement.
