Graham, looking forward to these articles I appreciate what you are doing by educating both clients and other professionals. It’s definitely something that is needed.

I agree 100% with the way you have constructed your form. I personally send out a questionnaire to the majority of my prospective clients and have gone back and forth on whether or not to cut this process out and move it all to my contact form. The only reason I have not done so is that I have found it easier to work the questions in after initial contact. Either way it is a great way to start learning about the client and the project from the start and as you mentioned it certainly works as a filter.

It is definitely true that a long form will only be filled out by serious clients. This saves your time and theirs if you know more about them and they are serious about working with you.
