you've strategically hit upon the logo & icon portfolio and blog of UK logo designer Graham Smith — the original Logo Smith since '86.

I absolutely love this style of logo design used for the Argentina Football World Cup 1978: simple, clean, strong, bold and Helvetica. Not to mention I am a real fan of that sort of blue.
Like how this example looks with the ever so slightly rounded edges and corners of the type. It’s that authentic ‘used’ look and feel that only period design, production, typesetting and reproduction can impart.

They just don’t make em like this any more. Plus – 1978, ally’s tartan army, Scotland v holland, etc etc.
I remember the Argentina badge being the impossible one to get to complete ones panini sticker album too.
Great work and great nostalgia for a classic world cup!
I’m loving the style, it looks really good on the shirts as well!
