portfolio & design blog of logo & identity designer, Graham Smith

(Book)Marked is the new home for my link blog and bookmarks which now replaces Single Measures.

The reason for the move, and recent experimentation, has been down to the redesign/structuring of the imjustcreative website as well as wanting to bring all my external link posting under the imjustcreative domain.

I have spent time this last year trying various methods of sharing, distributing and bookmarking the great links I find. I now am happy that I have found the ideal solution: the recent site redesign really did prompt a lot of this putting all my eggs in one basket.

I have been searching for the ideal balance practicality and usefulness, and now having the (Book)Marked link blog as a Custom Post Type means all my posting is all under one admin interface, only have one Google Analytics account to manage as well as easier management of my advertising slot for AdPacks.

Ease of use and practical considerations are not the only reasons, however.

Having the (Book)Marked link blog in the same header navigation as my portfolio etc helps keep the career focused part of my online presence in full view.

From a purely selfish perspective: anytime I post a blog article, or a link post from (Book)Marked they are all coming from the imjustcreative platform with my logo design services and portfolio in full view.

From an unselfish point of view it should be easier to keep track of what I do, as well as now having only one true home to my online activities as well as, hopefully, being a decent source of written articles and found links of interest. Also, don’t forget my website displays rather nice on mobile devices.

I will be importing, in time, a number of the Single Measures posts into (Book)Marked as there are loads of really cool links over there. For the time being it’s virgin territory, but it will be populated soon enough with some swell stuff.
